About me

Hi, I’m a science and tech writer based in Pune, India.

I write news, features, Q&As, audio-video scripts, newsletters and book reviews. I love unpacking science for a wide variety of audiences, including children, the public and students of science. I’ve contributed to more than 30 science publications and podcasts, reporting on everything from vaccines to climate change. I conduct workshops for beginner writers and for scientists getting started in communications.

After more than a decade of freelancing for BBC Earth, Hakai, Nature, New Scientist, SciDevNet, and more, I’m now a staff reporter at Shaastra magazine, where I can be found wearing the different hats of a writer, editor and fact-checker. You can leave me a message here for speaking engagements or to share story tips.

This is me soaking in the autumn sun amidst a riot of colors at Kew Gardens in London:
