About me

Hi, I’m a science and nature writer based in India.

I’ve contributed to various print and digital publications including Atlas Obscura, Hakai, National Geographic, New Scientist, Science and the BBC. Closer to home, I’ve published in Mongabay India, Nature India, RoundGlass Sustain, The Hindu and The Wire.

I’ve reported on everything from vaccines to science policy. But lately, I’ve found myself writing more and more about animal behavior, such as this story on tear-drinking moths which broke the internet and ended up in Twitter Moments.

I write news, features, Q&As, newsletters, podcast and video scripts, and book reviews. On most days, you’ll find me writing for an adult audience but occasionally you’ll find my byline in children’s science magazines. I also curate the latest advancements in ornithology, the science of birds, in my monthly newsletter Birds and Words.

If you are looking for a writer or have story ideas to share, leave me a message and I’ll be in touch.DSC_0539
