About me

Hi, I’m a science and nature writer based in India.

I’ve contributed to various print and digital publications including Atlas Obscura, BBC, Hakai, National Geographic, New Scientist and Science. Closer to home, I’ve published in Mongabay India, Nature India, RoundGlass Sustain, The Hindu and The Wire.

In a career spanning over a decade, I’ve reported on everything from vaccines to science policy. Lately, I’ve found myself writing about animal behavior, such as this story on tear-drinking moths that broke the internet and ended up in Twitter Moments.

I write news, features, Q&As, newsletters, podcast and video scripts, and book reviews. On most days, you’ll find me writing for an adult audience but occasionally you’ll find my byline in children’s science magazines. Every month I also send out a newsletter curating the latest advancements in ornithology, the science of birds.

If you are looking for a writer or have story ideas to share, please leave me a message and I’ll be in touch.DSC_0539
