About me

Hi, I’m a science and nature writer.

I write news, features, Q&As, audio-video scripts, newsletters and book reviews. I love unpacking science for a variety of audiences, including children. 

I’ve contributed to more than 30 print and digital publications, and reported on everything from vaccines to science policy. Currently, I’m obsessed with all the life forms we share this planet with. I’ve written about viral infections in frogs, trees that always lean towards the equator, tear-drinking moths, fish eggs hatching from bird poop and monkeys husking coconuts.  

Since 2018, I’ve been curating the latest advancements in ornithology, the science of birds, in my personal newsletter Birds and Words.
