How to colour a dinosaur

I’ve written plenty about living dinosaurs. (I once spent a whole year writing on birds in my freelance days). So, I’m low-key embarrassed to admit that this is my first story about extinct dinosaurs as a science writer of over 15 years! In this story, titled ‘Jurassic colours‘ in a nod to Jurassic Park, I look at how scientists go digging for dinosaur colours. I took a bit of creative leeway with the headline as it features dinosaurs from eras other than the Jurassic. Bonus: It is fun and free to read!

The highest peak ever

Mount Everest is like that teenager who won’t stop growing. Scientists have estimated that in recent times (geologically speaking), it has gained about 50 m in height. Despite other neighboring Himalayan peaks also getting taller, it appears it will remain the tallest ever (see what I did there?)

To find out how and why it is growing at an ever-faster rate than before, head over to Shaastra magazine and read my story! It’s a 2-minute read.
